News PUDDINGTON and BLACK DOG W.I. SKITTLES TEAM NEWS Match Played on October 20th 2004 This match was between us and the North Tawton team, played at the Waie Inn. Chrissie and I were the first of our team to arrive, and we found all the members of the other team ready and waiting for us. They said that we were supposed to have started by 7.15 but we all thought that it was 7.30. No matter though, Chrissie and I were quite happy and willing to play for the whole team until they arrived. (We could do with the practice!) We suggested that they started first to give our team a little longer to get there, but they had played their first round and Chrissie and I had begun to play for our team before I found them all in the bar getting the drinks in. After some surprise, I managed to round them all up and we got the game under way. We had a good evenings play in the end, with three spares and good follow throughs, and by the end of the game we had won by 20 points. We finished off with some very nice food and then made our way home full of high spirits in hope that we can do as well in all our other games. Next week we are back at the Black Dog again playing against the Kyrtonians. They are very good, so wish us luck. Joan Lakeland (Vice Captain)
